Canadian Made/Designed

In light of the hanging over our head tariff's by the US President, and the calls to buy Canadian, we decided to create a Canadian made category to make it easy for you to find wild bird products built and/or designed by Canadian Companies. I'm actually impressed with how much we have - you just don't know until you start adding to a pile!

We are proud to support companies like Wild Bird Trading, Brome, Pinebush, Mill Creek Seed, and Wilderness Fred's. If you are looking for something Canadian made from another company, please send us an email to [email protected] to alert us to the company and we will see what we can do!

Please keep in mind though - small businesses like ours are already stocked with American made product, and while we understand the determination and the call to buy Canadian, these tariffs are going to hit small business hard. Most small businesses have not recovered from Covid times. Don't overlook purchasing product already on the shelf - it will make it easier for us to restock with more Canadian choices once the American versions sell. Many of our Canadian distributors have US stock on their shelves as well and if we abandon them, we will lose them.

Also, Canadian companies who manufacture backyard birding products often outsource the manufacturing to China and India. This has always helped keep costs lower to pass the savings onto the consumer. 

And also be aware - by virtue of our smaller population size some products will not have a Canadian equivalent to replace it. We just don't have the manufacturing capacity as south of the border.

Please be mindful of continuing to support small and local businesses like ours through these tariff times.
